Meeting with Juan Levado, Paco

Last week we had our usual monthly meeting with Rosario. She told us that Levado had telephoned her requesting a meeting with us. I agreed to a meeting on the condition that it was held in Rosario's office and she would preside. The meeting went ahead on Tuesday of this week, the first surprise was that Levado actually turned up. I had been told that previously he failed to do so on several occasions.

His first statement was just the opposite in that he had tried to arrange meetings with my predecessor and Apyme and nothing happened. He then said he didn't want to fight against us and he didn't have a problem with money for himself. He doesn't have a choice considering they have lost two appeals in the courts and yet they have instigated the pending court case in Madrid.

Rosario asked them why they had failed to pay for the electric and water for the last six years, Paco said that it had been paid, she replied maybe but not into the correct bank where Iberdrola and Aguamed take the monthly money, therefore putting the park at risk of being cut off from these essential supplies. He then said that he had been paying into LaCaixa bank for the last year. Considering that this account was only opened in March he must be a magician.

Levado suggested the only way forward was for us to go over both sides accounts to try to consolidate and he wanted to start from 2003. Rosario firmly objected and suggested we both produce accounts for 2006/7 as a test case. The reason for this is because there are some owners who have taken the opportunity of the split to not pay either side.

We are still proceeding with the court cases for debtors so nothing has changed as far as we are concerned. Some would say why should we bother when it has been proven in a court of law that we are in the right, but if it moves us to being one community again it will be worth it.
