Guardia Civil

A resident has informed me that the general view that "Guardia Civil do not speak English" can no longer be said.

After calling the police the other day and speaking in English, the police came and were informed the problem.

They also gave the resident a telephone number to ring direct in case of future problems.

Therefore any resident can place a denuncia directly without the problem of "Language"!

Condolences

Our most sincere condolences go out to the family and friends of beloved Ann Arnold, favourably known as "Welsh Ann", and Annette Middlehurst who have passed away.

They will both be sadly missed.

Pending Court Case ref. Lucas

At the committee meeting today, we were informed of the monthly meeting with the Lawyers, specifically the pending court case against the community.

The lawyers have received the paperwork, awaiting copies, and commented on the possible maximum sanction we could receive of 60.000,00 €.

This amount has not been decided nor ordered to be paid, therefore the lawyers will be appealing, to try to obtain a lower amount.

When we receive further notification from the lawyers we will inform all residents.

We were told during the committee meeting today that there are residents willing to give testimony to the courts. We will inform the lawyer.
