We were informed of a Hobo sleeping in front of shower block 3, the President investigated and informed the Hobo to leave community land.
He subsequently moved to plot 518. The owner’s representative was informed and went to see. Unfortunately the hobo was not there.
Over the weekend we were informed again, and the owner’s representative went around to remove the hobo, but again was not there.
The representative arranged for the plot to be cleared including the rubbish accumulated, and told the hobo to leave the community; but instead the Hobo moved on to another property.
It was determined that the only recourse was the Police. However, as the Hobo refused medical treatment and as he was on private property; the owner or someone with authorisation must place a denuncia.
The Police were unable to remove the Hobo from the community.
We have contacted the owner and he has stated that he will sort out the problem as soon as possible.
Does this seem an opportune moment to have a roving security patrol, as the gates would not solve the problem in this case?
We will look in to the possibilities available and will be discussed at the next committee meeting.
Knowing full well that “Pitchforks and Flaming Torches” are not the answer any residents willing to participate in a full Neighbour Watch scheme the community could provide transportation and telephone.
