Committee meeting minutes 5th February 2009

The scoop of the month is Clara has at last decided to pay her fees into Banco Popular, let us hope that she continues to do so.

It has been reported in the local press that Iberdrola has been sending out estimated bills which have been exceptionally high, ours was no exception and as reported in the minutes we are persuing a re-read.

In December it was my intention following the suspension of Apyme to source a lawyer to represent us with regards to debtors. A meeting with Rosario on 3rd February resulted in them offering their services on a retainer basis. This would include legal advise whenever necessary. I had envisaged a cost of €3,000 per year and was delighted when they suggested €300 per month, negotiable. I offered €200 per month and they have accepted this amount which will be reviewed if and when we get more money in the bank. This agreement will be put in writing. We will still have to pay to take debtors to court, this money is passed to the Procuradores. We are in the process of processing the required certificados for eight debtors, four English and four Spanish.
